Supplier evidence matrix

Ask for an engineering evidence package tied to the current supplier quotation. Use the matrix to separate project inputs from open items for supplier clarification.

The values shown are example entries for a comparison worksheet. The project engineer sets the design criteria and the supplier identifies the drawing, material record or test evidence associated with its offer.

Parameter What is written Sample value, not a default What is not claimed
Design wind Basic speed and the code edition 45 m/s only inside a labeled example A worldwide wind that "covers" the site
Ground snow kN/m² from the local map 1.5 kN/m² in the alpine example Zero snow because the module is "light"
Seismic PGA or seismic design category 0.30 g as an illustrative input Earthquake-proof wording
Main steel Grade and product standard Q355 or S355 A single grade for studs and rafters
Coating Mass or system Z275 on stated cold-formed parts Bare galvanizing as a C5 coastal system
Wall build-up Core, thickness, joint 50–100 mm EPS, PIR or rock wool The word fireproof
Thermal Centre U-value and a joint note 0.25–0.60 W/m²K band, joint excluded The centre value as a whole-building result
Fire Minutes, specimen, standard 60 min only if the full wall matched the test A core datasheet used as the wall rating
Module box External length, width, height 6055 × 2435 × 2896 mm, illustrative envelope ISO CSC plating on every module
Clear span Metres between column faces 36 m illustrative bid span 60 m at every wind speed

First-unit verification

Before measurements, ask the supplier to state support points and expected temperature conditions. A tape reading is only comparable when the measurement datums and support arrangement are recorded.

At the first unit, measure the floor cassette diagonals and column plumb against the approved drawing. If structural welding is specified, check the joint map and witness the inspection method defined for the order.

Link dimensional readings and finish checks to the module identifier. For an illustrative 4 mm diagonal difference, accept or reject against the project tolerance shown on the approved drawing.

Agree the witness date and the action for an out-of-tolerance result before production proceeds. The inspector records the observation and the buyer authorizes disposition through the purchase order process.

Design and logistics trade-offs

Welded frame or bolted knock-down

A welded volumetric box can arrive with factory finishes and keep joints out of the field. Use the measured shipping envelope, loaded support arrangement and cargo handling method to compare freight.

A bolted kit can reduce shipping volume. Include erection survey, torque checks and weather protection in the installed price, and ask how temporary bracing is released.

Foam core or mineral wool

EPS and PIR can reduce module weight at comparable thickness. Verify declared conductivity at the offered thickness and check whether the door, joints and service penetrations match the specified fire assembly.

Mineral wool may fit a required tested assembly and adds weight. Ask for the assembly report and actual panel mass, then confirm crane reach with the proposed rigging.

Project document checklist

Supplier records are checked against the actual purchase scope. The project engineer and authority determine how the submission can be used at the destination.

Request a project evidence matrix

Provide the destination, design basis and available supplier records. We can organize a request for missing evidence by document owner and revision.
